These fittings are specifically used with Alfabiotech 6000 and 10K cementing hoses, typically in high-pressure applications like those found in oil and gas operations. A ferrule is a small metal ring used to secure the hose to the fitting, ensuring a leak-free, durable connection. Two-piece fittings, such as these, are made up of two separate parts that interlock for easy maintenance or replacement, unlike one-piece fittings that are permanently assembled.
