The Alfagomma Z-FHUN Two-Piece Fittings are straight, carbon steel hose end fittings designed for use with Female Hammer Union Fig. 1502, which features a rubber ring for sealing. These fittings are specifically used with Alfabiotech 6000 and 10K cementing hoses, typically in high-pressure applications, such as oil and gas cementing jobs. Ferrules are small metal rings that secure the hose to the fitting, ensuring a tight, leak-free seal. Two-piece fittings like the Z-FHUN are made up of two separate components that interlock, offering easier maintenance and flexibility in replacing parts. In contrast, one-piece fittings are solid and permanent, making them harder to replace or repair.
